Person found dead after fire at Camp Springs home; investigation underway

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Investigators are working to determine what caused a house fire that left a person dead in Prince George’s County early Friday morning.

The fire broke out in the 7200 block of Karen Anne Drive in Camp Springs.

The Prince George’s County Fire and EMS Department said crews were dispatched to the area around 1:15 a.m. on Jan. 23. There, units located the roof of a two-story split-foyer house engulfed in flames.

Officials noted that one person was found dead inside the home. The victim’s age and name have not yet been released as of Friday morning…
