TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Tucson Military Vehicle Museum is offering hands-on experiences that let visitors ride in and drive historic military vehicles, including Humvees.
The museum, which opened in early 2025, recently began a new program allowing people to get behind the wheel or ride along with military equipment. The attraction is quickly becoming one of the most unique in southern Arizona.
Museum showcases vehicles from different eras
The museum displays tanks, Humvees, recovery vehicles and other military equipment from different time periods. Scott Marchand, CEO of the Arizona Aerospace Foundation, said the indoor setting makes the vehicles appear larger than they do outside.
“It’s true with airplanes, you put them inside and they grow. It is an interesting syndrome, you look at these things outside and you think yeah, that’s a tank that’s a truck. You move it inside and WOW, that’s a tank,” Marchand said…
