SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Marcella’s Appliance Center, a family-owned appliance retailer that has served the Capital Region since 1957, has acquired Cocca’s Appliances, another long-standing local business, the company announced.
The acquisition took effect Monday, January 19, bringing together two family-run appliance retailers with decades of service in the region.
Cocca’s Appliances was founded in 1981 by Frank Cocca and built a reputation for customer-focused service, strong vendor relationships, and hands-on management. Cocca said succession planning played a major role in his decision to sell.
“When I began to think about succession planning, my top priority was ensuring that both my loyal customers and my employees would be in good hands,” Cocca said in a statement. “Marcella’s reputation for integrity, quality, and service made them the natural choice.”…
