Raise your glasses DMV wine enthusiasts, something exciting is on the horizon. Scott Shirley, a hospitality vet who knows a thing or two about a good glass of vino and the foods that complement it, is opening Chord Bread and Bottle in Alexandria this spring, reports local media outlet ALXNow.
Shirley is ensuring the 3690 J King Street storefront stays in the wine business; the space previously housed Unwined until its closure in late 2024. Still, the space will need to undergo renovations before beginning its next chapter as Chord Bread and Bottle’s home. Ultimately the shop will be able to accommodate up to 12 visitors.
Anticipated improvements include the construction of a pick-up counter, the installation of a prep kitchen and a window counter, alongside updating the bathrooms-no small feat…
