MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Independent Investigators Division (IID) has launched an investigation into the circumstances of the death of a man.
The Montgomery County Department of Police announced Friday that it was aware of the investigation.

On Dec. 15, 2025, 31-year-old Jamal Thompson was taken to the hospital by an ambulance after MCPD officers responded to a call for a person in crisis. He was taken to the hospital under an “emergency evaluation petition.”
Officials noted that Thompson died in the hospital several hours later following a “medical crisis.”…
