BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the 18-year-old man killed in a crash on Highway 46 as Alexis Zamora.
The California Highway Patrol said on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at around 1:16 p.m., officers were called to Highway 46, west of Smith Avenue for a report of a crash involving two vehicles.
CHP said a preliminary investigation found that a man was driving a 2003 Toyota Camry eastbound on Highway 46, west of Smith Avenue. The man was initially reported by CHP as a 20 years old.
