A former Baltimore City Council candidate was sentenced Thursday to four years in federal prison for defrauding $1.7 million through falsified applications for coronavirus relief funds — including one for her defunct campaign.
Nichelle Henson, 39, was sentenced for defrauding $1,694,451 in funds by submitting 18 fraudulent Economic Injury Disaster Loans applications and six bogus Paycheck Protection Program applications between 2020 and 2021.
