Hoover Officials: All Residents Protected, Regardless of Citizenship

Hoover officials said all residents are protected regardless of citizenship status, but some residents with immigrant backgrounds are still worried about safety in their daily lives.

“We want them to call. We have more pressing issues in Hoover that affect our crime rate than immigration stats,” said Clay Morris, Hoover Chief of Police, emphasizing that the department focused on protecting all residents, not checking citizenship.
