Local college already cancels classes Monday due to severe winter storm threat

OXFORD, Ohio (WKRC) – Miami University canceled classes for Monday as a severe winter storm is expected to bring more than 10 inches of snow to Butler County and southwest Ohio.

The university said it will be closed Sunday though residence halls and dining facilities will remain open. On Monday, some campus services will operate on limited hours beginning at 10 a.m., while other activities will be reduced as crews work to clear snow and ice.

Students who are unable to return to campus by Tuesday were advised to contact their instructors directly. The university encouraged employees to work remotely when possible, while staff who cannot work remotely were instructed to report to campus or request leave…
