HUDSONVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — Newly-released dashcam footage from a deputy’s cruiser shows the moments cars and trucks slid off the road and crashed into each other, forming a pileup of over 100 vehicles on I-196 Monday.
The video, released by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office Thursday evening, shows a cruiser making its way down a snowy I-196. Visibility is low, as vehicles in front of it can’t be seen clearly amid blowing snow.

Soon, a vehicle veers off the right side of the road into a snowbank. As the cruiser inches closer, a pile of vehicles come into view, including jackknifed semi-trucks. A FedEx delivery truck veers hard right and a semi-truck that has slid down an embankment comes into view.
Over 100 vehicles, including dozens of semi-trucks, were involved in the pileup. Crashes began around 10:20 a.m. and stacked up between exit 62 to Hudsonville and exit 55 to Zeeland. About nine to 12 people were injured in the crash, deputies said. No one died…
