A Lady Lake man will have to appear in court for allegedly hunting ducks without a plug in his shotgun at Emeralda Marsh in Leesburg.
An officer came across 28-year-old Shea Tylor Garrard while doing inspections on migratory bird hunters on Emeralda Marsh around 9:10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, according to a resource citation from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Garrard stated his gun did not have a plug in it, and he put four shotgun shells in it that day. He then pulled one out and only hunted with three. He had all the other required licenses and permits to hunt ducks and had been doing so with a friend who knew they needed to have plugs in their guns, the citation said…
