An officer-involved shooting triggered a major law enforcement response in the La Presa area of Spring Valley yesterday, with streets blocked and neighbors told to steer clear of a busy intersection while investigators moved in.
San Diego Police Lock Down Busy Intersection
Shortly after 2 PM, the San Diego Police Department posted on X that officers were working an officer-involved shooting near the intersection of Jamacha Road and Gillespie Drive in La Presa. The department asked drivers and residents to avoid the area and warned of a heavy police presence while investigators processed the scene, stressing there was “no threat to the surrounding community.”
