STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — At a sentencing hearing Thursday for convicted drug dealer Kadeem Lewis, he exchanged final goodbyes with family members who packed one side of the courtroom.

Lewis, 35, pleaded guilty recently to criminal sale of a controlled substance after a high-profile wiretap investigation was carried out in 2022 and 2023 by the NYPD’s Narcotics Bureau Staten Island.
