Nine years have passed, yet the wounds remain fresh for the family of Lamar Murphy, the Hayward High School student whose life was abruptly ended by an assailant’s bullet on a cold January night in 2017. The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office took to social media this morning, on the anniversary of the tragedy, to renew their call for information that could lead to answers and, with hope, the closure that Lamar’s family has sought for nearly a decade now.
