Cold weather advisory affecting 3 Massachusetts counties until Saturday morning – below zero wind chills

At 11:04 a.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service released a cold weather advisory valid from 10 p.m. until Saturday 10 a.m. for Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties.

The weather service comments, “Very cold wind chills as low as 15 degrees below zero expected.”

“Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures,” adds the weather service. “Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.”
