Local northeast Wisconsin bakery battling cold by offering free soup and bottomless coffee/tea

(WFRV) – A local northeast Wisconsin bakery is helping the public battle Friday’s extreme cold by offering free soup and bottomless coffee or tea to “anyone who could use a little warmth.”

According to a post on social media, officials with Voyageurs Bakehouse say they are offering the free soup, coffee, and tea to anyone who needs it with no questions asked, no purchase required, and no pressure.

The bakery says this is a small but meaningful way to help the local community, as northeast Wisconsin battles extreme cold during the long days of January.

Warm soup, fresh bread, hot coffee, hot tea, and warm spirits will be available at all three of the following Voyageurs Bakehouse locations:

  • Green Bay – 320 North Broadway #110
  • De Pere – 109 North Broadway
  • Appleton – 201 West College Avenue

Officials with the bakery say those who stop in are welcome to stay and warm up or can grab a to-go cup. They add that they would also send soup along in to-go containers for those who know someone who could use a warm meal…
