Measles found in wastewater in Lincoln

Measles has been detected in wastewater samples in Lincoln.

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department said Friday that measles was present in a sample taken from the Theresa Street Water Resource Recovery Facility, 2400 Theresa St. The department started testing wastewater for measles last May and is the only health department in the state that does so. This is the first time measles has been detected in one of the samples.

There have, as of yet, been no confirmed cases of measles in Lancaster County…
