SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Several Missouri law enforcement agencies are turning to humor, and a familiar Disney character, to deliver winter weather safety reminders as a major storm approaches the region.
The Aurora Police Department said this week it had “apprehended a suspect believed to be responsible for the incoming weather,” joking that the individual’s request that officers “let it go” had been denied. The department added that all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
In Springfield, police echoed the theme, posting that “the cold never bothered us anyway” as crews across the city prepared for deteriorating road conditions.
