Autopsy released for man found in Lake Afton

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office released more information Thursday in the death investigation involving 30-year-old Ian Alexander Shelton.

Shelton’s body was found in Lake Afton on Jan. 10 after he went missing in December.

The sheriff’s office said the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Center completed the preliminary autopsy on Shelton and determined the cause of death was drowning. The manner of death was ruled an accident. Toxicology results are still pending.
