SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A former Olympian who competed in the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics has been arrested after being accused of leading a major drug trafficking ring.
Ryan Wedding, 44, has spent months on the FBI’s Most Wanted list after being indicted for allegedly trafficking “multi-ton quantities of cocaine” from Colombia. Federal law enforcement also believes he is connected with several murders for hire across North America.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced on X Friday morning that Wedding had been taken into custody in Mexico and is currently being transported to the U.S.
“Wedding is believed to have been hiding in Mexico for over a decade – and has been watned on charges for cocaine trafficking and murder since 2004,” Patel said…
