AEA teachers wear blue in solidarity with Minnesotans opposing ICE activity

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Public school teachers with the Arizona Education Association wore blue on Friday.

It is their way of standing in solidarity with Minnesota educators as the state experiences a wave of increased ICE activity.

“A message for all of my Minnesota educators: We are your friends here in Arizona, and we stand in solidarity, said Rachael Eggebeen. She teaches eighth graders at Apollo Middle School and is the Vice President of the Sunnyside Education Association, a local chapter of AEA.
