PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A man is hospitalized after being hit by an Amtrak train while operating a forklift on Friday morning in southeast Portland, according to police and fire officials.
Just before 11:30 a.m., officers with the Portland Police Bureau and firefighters were sent to the area of Southeast 12th Avenue and Southeast Clinton Street after reports of an accident involving a man operating machinery and a train.
