NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A 27-year-old is facing charges after he allegedly attempted to abduct a child, broke into an apartment, and threatened responding officers on Wednesday night.
North Charleston officers responded to a report of a home invasion at an apartment complex on Tropicana Road, learning from dispatch that a suspect had broken a window and was attempting to take a child.
At the scene, officers detained the suspect. A woman at the residence said the suspect was the father of the two-year-old, tried to take the child despite being told it was too late and cold.
