North Alabama residents using propane heaters to stay warm

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Losing power is one of the biggest concerns during this upcoming winter weather. Many people will rely on propane heaters to stay warm.

“If your power goes out, you will not have central heat. So, you will need to have an alternative form of heat,” Jackson Plumbing, Heating and Cooling HVAC Manager Jonathan Ransom said.

People across North Alabama are preparing for the upcoming winter weather. For many, that includes propane heaters.

“Yesterday, we probably served around 300 to 400 people. Probably around 100 so far today. We did 2,000 gallons of propane yesterday. My guys were out back, tired, but we’re going to continue to go,” Muddy Waters Outdoors owner Jerrod Karr said…
