DUI suspect jailed after ‘aggressively’ driving through country club parking lot

A drunk driving suspect was arrested after “aggressively” driving through the parking lot of a country club in The Villages.

A speeding car was caught on radar traveling at 52 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone at about 10:15 p.m. Thursday on Buena Vista Boulevard before the driver turned into the Palmer Legends Country Club, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The vehicle began moving “aggressively through the parking lot,” bounced off a curb and eventually came to a stop in a handicapped parking spot.

When a deputy approached the vehicle, the driver, later identified as 29-year-old Lillie Marie Guerrero of Wildwood, began pleading with him.
