Sacramento native Alex Honnold’s free solo of Taipei tower postponed to Saturday

(FOX40.COM) — World-famous climber Alex Honnold, a Sacramento native, will climb a towering Taipei skyscraper on Saturday night.

Taipei 101 is a 1,667-foot tower made of steel and glass — a pinnacle Honnold hopes to summit when he climbs it without ropes.

The spectacle will be broadcast live on Netflix at 5 p.m. Pacific Time on Saturday, Jan. 24. The broadcast was originally scheduled for Friday, but it was postponed due to weather, Netflix said…
