U.S. marshals arrest Philadelphia fugitive in Hunterdon County, officials say

HIGH BRIDGE BOROUGH, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — U.S. marshals arrested a Philadelphia man wanted in a robbery investigation after locating him at a residence in High Bridge Borough, authorities said.

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson and High Bridge Police Chief Brett Bartman said members of the U.S. Marshals Service found James Robinson-Burton, 25, on Jan. 22, 2026, and took him into custody with support from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office and the High Bridge Police Department.

Robinson-Burton was arrested as a fugitive from justice, officials said, and was also charged with second-degree certain person not to possess a firearm and fourth-degree possession of a large capacity magazine after marshals discovered a semiautomatic handgun in the residence where he was found…
