North Huntingdon Man Dies in Collision with Parked Tractor-Trailer in Salem Township

A tragic crash in Salem Township claimed the life of a North Huntingdon man yesterday. According to the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office, 47-year-old Scott W. Sellitto was driving a GMC Acadia SUV along Route 22 when he fatally collided with a parked tractor-trailer. This incident occurred in the morning hours, near the intersection of Route 22 and Hannastorm Road, as reported by TribLIVE.

The accident seemed to unfold rapidly, with emergency responders being summoned to the scene at around 10:49 a.m., conveyed by Westmoreland County emergency dispatchers. In what was a tragic unfolding of events, firmly seat-belted was not Scott W. Sellitto when the SUV he was operating veered off the road, according to WPXI.

The vehicle, having departed from the road, made impact with a stationary tractor-trailer that was situated in a lot adjacent to the Liberty Transportation Inc. facility. The front of Sellitto’s SUV was discovered trapped underneath the detached portion of the tractor-trailer, in what became the final resting place for the vehicle and its sole occupant…
