Brewery files for bankruptcy, will continue operations
Local brewery 4 by 4 Brewing Company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the Western District of Missouri on Jan. 15, according to court records, a move that owners are calling a “strategic restructuring to strengthen financial future.” The brewery said it is reorganizing its debt with a private investor after an attempt at public fundraising.
“Like many small breweries, we’ve faced significant financial headwinds in recent years,” owners said in a press release. “This restructuring allows us to realign our finances, strengthen operations and keep doing what we love serving our community and brewing great beer.”
Despite the change, “taproom operations, staff and events will continue as normal” including upcoming beer releases and seasonal promotions, the press release said…
