Sheriff: Autopsy determined cause of death of missing Kan. man

SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. — The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday updated the ongoing death investigation involving the body recovered from Lake Afton earlier this month.

The Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center has completed its examination related to Ian Alexander Shelton, whose identity was previously confirmed.

On Jan. 13, an autopsy was completed and provisional anatomic diagnoses were released to the Sheriff’s Office. Provisional anatomic diagnoses are preliminary findings based on the physical examination of the body and may be updated pending additional testing…
