ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – An Anchorage man who opened fire on police officers, injuring one, during a tense hour-long standoff near downtown in March 2022 has been sentenced to decades in prison.
Dillon Spring, now 32, was sentenced this week to a total of 210 years — with 135 years suspended — leaving 75 years to serve, according to the Anchorage Police Department. The court also ruled that Spring will not be eligible for parole until he has served nearly 50 years.
Spring was convicted in May 2025 on 23 counts, including six counts of attempted first-degree murder, stemming from a March 18, 2022 standoff that began with a report of an assault inside an apartment building on East 10th Avenue…
