TROY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Leading up to this snowstorm, shelters and warming stations have been preparing for the potential increase in people entering their doors. For Joseph’s House, a 24-hour shelter in Troy, the weather conditions have not changed their workflow.
Executive Director Amy LaFountain says for five straight months, their shelter has expanded its capacity to bring in even more people off the streets. She says, regardless of the temperature outside, they do everything they can to support those who enter their doors.
