Not guilty by reason of insanity in the works for man accused of killing Fairfax CEO while asleep

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — The Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office is pursuing a not guilty plea by reason of insanity for the man accused of killing Gret Glyer, a Virginia CEO, despite outcry from the victim’s family.

In a status hearing on Friday, defense attorney Bryan Kennedy and prosecutor Kaitlin Morgan agreed to a disposition hearing to discuss the insanity agreement following the mental evaluation report by the Commonwealth’s psychiatrist.

The next hearing is meant to delve into the evaluations and determine details on which mental health facility Joshau Danehower, 36, is supposed to go to. While the judge will hear the case, it is unclear how much discretion is provided to reject any agreement…
