BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was sentenced Friday morning after he seriously injured a dog who ended up in the hospital with skull fractures, according to the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.
Officials said 31-year-old Deandre Rogers hit a 9-year-old chihuahua in the early morning hours of May 10, 2025. Rogers intentionally struck Bella the dog in a residence on the 200 block of Geary Street in Buffalo.
Bella was taken to BluePearl Pet Hospital with serious physical injuries including skull fractures. She has since been treated by the SPCA Serving Erie County and is living in a new home…
