‘This is not your average snowstorm’: Charlottesville and Albemarle gear up

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Emergency coordinators in Charlottesville and Albemarle County are working together to prepare for Saturday’s winter storm, with sweeping power outages expected and the potential of days before roads are cleared.

John Oprandy, Charlottesville’s emergency management coordinator, said the approaching weather system requires extensive preparation.
