Upstate grocery stores limiting milk, running low on bread, eggs

Nearly 24 hours ahead of an expected major winter storm, early-morning shoppers had already gone through the initial stock of food essentials at Upstate grocery stores.

As of 9:30 a.m., Lidl, located at 1866 Woodruff Road, had its bread, milk, and eggs sections down to their last remaining items. A sign on the refrigerator set a limit of six gallons of milk at a time, but their bakery section had fresh loaves ready for purchase.

Store management could not confirm whether multiple trucks would deliver new loads of grocery items per day, but expected business as usual…
