Virginia-based BAE Systems, a defense, aerospace and security company, will be producing M109A7 Paladin Self-Propelled Howitzer sets in York.
The Army Contracting Command Detroit awarded BAE Systems a $473 million contract in September for the production of 40 additional M109A7 sets including the M992A3 Carrier Ammunition Tracked ammunition-loading vehicle. This is the first award of a five-year contract.
