Snow started falling Saturday afternoon across Central Kentucky as Winter Storm Fern moved into the region.
The storm is forecast to bring heavy snow — including estimates of 6 to 8 inches in Lexington — sleet and freezing rain to much of the state. A winter storm warning is in effect for many Kentucky counties through early Monday.
