Man Rescued From Frigid Pennsylvania River Had Stolen Harp Worth $30,000 At Water’s Edge

A bizarre investigation is underway after a man who was rescued from the frigid waters of a Pennsylvania state park this week was found with a full-size, $30,000 harp later determined to have been stolen.

Pittsburgh Public Safety said police, EMS, River Rescue and Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) rangers responded shortly before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to reports of a man in the water at Point State Park. Pittsburgh Police and DCNR rangers found the man and pulled him to the snowy shore before other responders arrived at the scene.

River Rescue and medics provided first aid at the scene before the man was transported to UPMC Mercy in stable condition…
