ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) — Firefighters were able to put out a kitchen fire Friday evening, extinguishing the flames without the apartment being damaged enough to displace residents.
According to the Roanoke FireEMS Department, crews were first dispatched to Hunt Avenue NW for the report of a kitchen fire. Arriving crews found smoke coming from the stairwell and started working on searching the structure and putting out the flames.
“The fire was contained to the kitchen and marked under control at 6:06PM,” RFEMSD said. “No one was displaced as a result of the fire.”…
