Cold, icy weather tonight

Myrtle Beach, S.C. (WBTW)– Temperatures will be warmer this morning than in the afternoon, so get ready for a cold, gloomy day. Temperatures through the afternoon will only reach the mid to upper 30s. Northeasterly winds will stay breezy with gusts over 20 mph, pushing wind chills down into the 20s and making it feel even colder.

An Ice Storm Warning is in effect for Darlington, Marlboro, Dillon, and Robeson counties as freezing rain moves in tonight. Areas west of I-95 have the highest risk for icing, with potential accumulations exceeding a quarter inch. This could lead to slick roadways, icy bridges, minor tree damage, and isolated power outages.
