NEW ORLEANS — School districts and local agencies across southeast Louisiana are preparing for a stretch of dangerous cold expected to arrive early next week.
Forecasters say temperatures will drop fast Sunday night into Monday, bringing wind chills in the teens and 20s. Any leftover rain could freeze overnight, creating slick roads and black ice, especially on bridges and shaded areas.
