Two More Arrests in 2025 Clear Spring Triple Murder Case in Washington County, Maryland

CLEAR SPRING, MD — Investigators from the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit have made two additional arrests connected to the brutal triple murder and arson that shook Washington County last November. Authorities say the new suspects assisted the perpetrators after the crime occurred.

The New Arrests

On Friday, January 16, 2026, State Police announced the arrests of two individuals charged with helping to cover up or assist in the aftermath of the killings:

  • Lanea George, 40, of Owings Mills, MD: Charged with Accessory After the Fact to First-Degree Murder and Obstruction of Justice. She is currently held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
  • David Chapple, 43, of Baltimore, MD: Charged with Accessory After the Fact to First-Degree Murder. He was indicted by a Washington County Grand Jury and is held without bail at the Washington County Detention Center.
