(WGHP) — Sleet and snow have been falling for the majority of the overnight hours with a few instances of freezing rain. The wintry mix continues this morning across the Piedmont Triad.
Temperatures are incredibly cold in the teens, and a northeast wind is making it feel even colder with feels-like temperatures in the single digits.

As we head through the morning, sleet will be the primary form of precipitation falling. As we approach midday, sleet will begin to transition to freezing rain and freezing rain will become the primary concern for the second half of the day.
