FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — In July of 2022, Fort Wayne lost longtime councilman and oncologist, Dr. John Crawford.
Serving several terms beginning in 1995, Crawford put a high focus on the city’s health, notably by being a champion for Fort Wayne’s total smoking ban.
“Dr. Crawford was a such a strong advocate of our parks system. Being active, being outside. We worked with him on numerous projects,” said Chuck Reddinger, Parks Deputy Director of Recreation. “We know that he always cared about the health and wellbeing of the city.”…
