Police officer accused of killing girlfriend’s dog because ‘he did not like it,’ authorities say

TAMPA (WWSB/Gray News) – A police officer in Florida is accused of killing his girlfriend’s dog because he “did not like it,” according to authorities.

Edwin Campuzano, 22, is facing charges of aggravated cruelty to animals.

In May 2025, investigators determined Campuzano intentionally poisoned his girlfriend’s 3-year-old Maltese poodle, Milo, while she left for a trip.
