DES MOINES, Iowa — MidAmerican Energy says Iowa crews are heading to Oklahoma to provide assistance ahead of the forecasted winter storm.
MidAmerican Energy says 36 employees left Friday morning for Ardmore, located in southern Oklahoma, after the electric utility OG&E requested assistance ahead of the projected winter storm. MidAmerican says the crew is assembled from Iowa and Illinois Quad City personnel.
MidAmerican and OG&E are members of the Midwest Mutual Assistance Group, which is part of a larger nationwide utility alliance that provides assistance to each other during emergencies…
