Hundreds without heat or hot water at Houston apartment complex

HOUSTON (CW39) – As dangerously cold temperatures hit Houston, city leaders say hundreds of families are living without heat at a troubled apartment complex in southwest Houston.

On Saturday, Council Member Abbie Kamin of District C, along with OEM and partnering local organizations, distributed hundreds of blankets, sleeping bags, hand warmers, and other resources to help residents stay warm. This distribution reached over a hundred residents at the Life at Jackson Squareapartment complex as cold temperatures set in.
