Jackson State lost to Bethune-Cookman 85-48 in a Southwestern Athletic Conference game Saturday inside Moore Gymnasium in Daytona Beach, Florida. Despite a double-digit scoring effort from Daeshun Ruffin, the Tigers struggled offensively.
Ruffin finished with 19 points and six assists, marking his 16th game this season in double figures. He has scored in double figures in the last 10 games and 12 of the last 13, also recording six or more assists in eight of the past nine games, according to school sources.
Jackson State shot just 25.4% from the field (17-of-67) and 17.2% from three-point range (5-of-29). The team was more accurate at the free-throw line, hitting 90% (9-of-10).
