Northwestern takes precautions after reports of norovirus symptoms

Northwestern University officials said Friday they are implementing “preventative measures” amid reports of community members showing symptoms commonly associated with norovirus.

While the university has not released an official number of confirmed cases, individuals have been reporting stomach cramps, nausea, diarrhea and vomiting. Other symptoms include fever, headache and body aches.

Symptoms generally resolve within healthy individuals in one to three days, but individuals may continue to be contagious even after their symptoms resolve…
